How To Set Up A Healthy Morning Routine

Do you know how beneficial it is to set up your day with the thoughts you think, in the morning?

If you’re someone who instantly turns your alarm off, only to start scrolling on social media, or maybe you instantly check your work email.. odds are you’re not in an optimal mental state to start your day. Have you ever started your day with gratitude, or affirmations?

Here’s a couple tips on how to set up your day for success, that doesn’t take longer than five minutes!

First off, we cannot change habits unless we are aware of them. Start by writing a list of the things you do in the morning, and take note of whether or not they made you feel good. For example, checking your phone right away, probably does not make you feel the best. Making your bed, however, is likely something that makes you feel more productive.

Once you’re aware of the “good” and “bad” habits, let’s work on replacing the bad habits with some good ones. Instead of checking your phone first thing, let’s replace that with writing down, or simply saying out loud, five things you’re grateful for.

Another great way to start your day is with affirmations and filling your self-love cup up. Remember, you can’t poor from an empty cup! Here are some affirmations you can use to start your day!

I am thankful for my body.
For carrying me all these years.
I am thankful for my mind.
For the memories of past days.
I am thankful for my hardships.
For the strength they gave me.
I am thankful for love.
For the lessons of heartbreak.
I am thankful for hard work.
For the satisfaction of a job well done.
I am thankful for this breath…this heartbeat…and the life I have been given.
Each day we have a choice….
So everyday l choose to look through the lens of gratitude.
